Rodriguez passed the 1,000 point mark in a recent victory over Arlington. A big guard, Rodriguez is a pure shooter who routinely knocks down multiple 3’s per game. This season, he’s shown a willingness to take smaller defenders into the post where he’s capable of scoring over them. Defensively, he’s a high IQ, switchable defender who’s capable of finishing plays with defensive rebounds and then initating offense on the break.
Beck, one of the NHIAA’s most formidable post players, topped the 1,000 point mark in a victory over Kennett on Wednesday. A true low post scorer, Beck has great hands and impressive footwork. He’s capable of handling the ball and makes good decisions out of double teams. Defensively, he protects the paint, uses his size to his advantage on the glass, and can initiate offense with his outlet passes.
McNamara eclipsed the 1,000 point mark this week in a victory over Providence Country Day. An explosive athlete, McNamara impresses with his ability to score in transition and as a slasher in half-court settings. He’s capable of taking defenders off the bounce and has even shown improved range on his jumper this season. Defensively, he can slide up and down a position due to his athleticism and strength.
Carter Galley
Carter Galley
Galley notched his 1,000 point in a win over Yarmouth just before the winter break. A score first guard, Galley has a 50-point game to his name already this winter. He scores at all three levels, but is most lethal in transition and in the mid-range. He’s a tough defender; disruptive off the ball and intelligent in getting to his help spots. He combines with his brother, Cohen, to form a terrific duo for Oceanside.
Camden DiChiara
Camden DiChiara
DiChiara topped 1,000 points in the same game as his teammate, McNamara, earlier this week. A high IQ guard that can play on or off the ball, DiChiara is known for his ability to shoot it with range. He’s more than capable of attacking bad closeouts and this year, has added the element of a mid-range game. He’s rebounds well for his position and can really initiate offense from the defensive end of the court.
