Gustafson has put up some insane numbers this season. He’s averaging 25.6 points and 14.3 rebounds on 66/44/73 splits, leading the state in rebounding and coming in second for scoring. He recently became the fourth player in Nebraska history to reach 2000 career points and 1000 career rebounds, and now at 6’5″, he’s blossomed into a real sleeper outside the top 30 of the 2024 class.

He showed his versatility by scoring in the low post with his back to the basket, but also out of face up situations. Gustafson is a strong forward who plays hard and seeks physical contact. He is also a solid rebounder for his size.

The big frame of Gustafson has given opponents fits on the field and the court this year. In the fall, Gustafson averaged 194 yards per game while accounting for 37 touchdowns for Osceola, most of which came on the ground. His size and speed are a combination that makes scouts drool at the possible potential. On the court, Gustafson is averaging a double-double this year, with 21.1 points and 13 rebounds per game. His physicality is hard to match in the painted area, as he seems to thrive with contact. He moves fluidly up and down the court and has good hands on the offensive and defensive end. Only a junior, Gustafson should become a hot prospect for any college that values size, strength and speed, and the potential that lies with it.
