However, the gym was packed with dozens of Non-Division I coaches. High level basketball was on display all afternoon. Here’s who stood out.

Grant Urbanek Grant Urbanek 6’3″ | SG Millard North | 2024 State NE was one of the better shooters of the day on Sunday. He scored 15 points, knocking in 5 threes in a tough loss for NBDA against All Iowa Attack. Urbanek showed he can shoot it off the bounce, in transition, and on the move. He is also a scrappy defender, as he forced several steals and jump balls.
Nate Kelley
Nate Kelley
Nate Kelley put on a clinic for Nebraska Supreme in their win against Kingdom Hoops. Kelley made the game look really easy, scoring whenever he wanted. He also dished out several assists when the defense collapsed on him. Kelley is a quick guard with a nice handle who can get downhill very fast. He also has a nice outside stroke. Kelley plays the game with a ton of confidence and passion, and is a really fun player to watch.
Barret Boesiger Barret Boesiger 6’2″ | SG Norris | 2025 State NE impressed all weekend long for Nebraska Supreme. The guard out of Norris is a pure scorer with a beautiful jump shot. Boesiger can score at all three levels, and elevates very well on his pull-up mid range shot. Every time I’ve seen Boesiger play, he’s been the hardest worker on the court. His passion and desire to win are unmatched. Combining that with his skillset, he is a special talent.
Steven Poulicek Steven Poulicek 6’0″ | SG Bellevue West | 2024 State NE had a solid performance for OSA Klein in a win over Lincoln Supreme National 1. Poulicek knocked in 4 threes to go along with his 18 points. Once the defense recognized he was a knockdown outside shooter, Poulicek did a nice job attacking closeouts and getting to the rim and finishing. He never gets rattled after a miss, and keeps a level head. True shooter with great confidence in his ability.
Alec Wilkins Alec Wilkins 6’2″ | SG Gretna | 2024 State NE went for a game high 22 points for OSA Klein. The guard out of Gretna made a couple of outside shots, but scored most of his points driving and attacking the rim. He used his physicality and strength to overpower smaller defenders inside. Wilkins will play a big role this coming winter for a deep Gretna squad. Currently on his OSA team, he is one of the go to scorers and star players.
A great showing from Kale Gustafson Kale Gustafson 6’2″ | PF Osceola | 2024 State NE in a tough loss to a talented OSA squad. Gustafson led his squad in scoring with 16. He showed his versatility by scoring in the low post with his back to the basket, but also out of face up situations. Gustafson is a strong forward who plays hard and seeks physical contact. He is also a solid rebounder for his size.
