The main part of Kai’s game I enjoyed watching was when he was creating shots for himself in the midrange and on the perimeter. He uses a variety of quick and swift dribble moves to beat opponents out of triple threat and he also knows where to spot up on the arc without the ball in his hands. On the defensive end, he has height and awareness to guard almost any position, and this has been proved all summer long during his run with the STX Hoopsters. He surveys the court well running the point guard spot and he is comfortable handling the ball against high intensity pressure from the opposing defenders. He has a lengthy wingspan and a smooth touch that he can use to score the ball from anywhere.

On offense, Kai is one of the most lethal guards I watched this weekend who can hurt the defense in a variety of ways. Emerging as a dual threat playmaker and scorer, Swift can score from all three levels effectively and he takes advantage of smaller guards well with the ball in his hands. He made several tough mid-range shots and displayed smooth mechanics on his long range jumper. He has the wingspan to make sure opposing guards feel pressured going against him and his long strides allow him to glide ahead of everyone on fastbreaks.
