Mr. Meier was a playmaker on the glass. Jyles was a beast on the boards. He gobbled up O-boards and second-chance opportunities all weekend long. Jyles is one tough bugger who plays with heart and muscle. He is big but moves well and has a nose for the ball. Meier is also an unselfish passer and a solid screener.

Jyles is a player to watch this weekend, especially for those who appreciate toughness and physicality in the paint. The Tornado big man immediately stands out with his size and strong build, and he uses it to his advantage on every possession. Meier is an absolute force on the glass, consistently battling for rebounds and controlling the interior. He plays with an edge, embraces contact, and sets the tone with his physical presence. Beyond that, his interior passing ability adds another layer to his game, showing he can make smart plays out of the post. Meier’s rebounding, toughness, and ability to dominate the paint make him a difference-maker and the kind of player who can change the flow of a game with his physicality alone.

In jyles lone region tournament game he had 8 points 11 rebounds and 3 blocks. Meier is arguably the best big man in region one, he isnt relied on to score nearly as much or as often as is a couple of the other bigs in the region from Medina or Linton. Meier definitely makes the most of his touches and alot of his points come off of O Boards and just pure strength and great positioning. He definitely doesn’t get nearly the credit he should for how hard he works on both ends of the floor. For a very large guy he has good quick feet defensively on the perimeter, also does a very nice job of keeping a high hand and using his body in the post and not his hands. Meier was voted to All Region Team, look for Jyles to be the best big in the region next season and as of right now i dont see a close second.
