About Justin
Expert Analysis
Andrew Herman | Prep Hoops Scout
Hanson is a high-level scorer who can get any shot he wants no matter the situation he is in. He has tight and crafty handles which allow him to get anywhere on the court. His quickness paired with his crossover is how he creates so much space on his jump shots and drives to the rim. The midrange game is smooth for him and can step out to the three-point line and hit shots from there. Hanson has great timing and instincts on when to intercept passing lanes and when to poke the ball free.

Hanson is a three-level scorer who has no weakness in his offensive game. He has tight handles that allow him to get past defenders and into the paint to make some crafty finishes around the rim. He has a nice pull-up midrange shot he likes to go to a lot. His high release point allows him to shoot over most defenders. Hanson is automatic on the catch-and-shoot three and will look to come off of pick-n-pops or off-ball screens to get open.

Justin has a well-put-together game at the CG position. His three-point shot is very consistent as he can use that for catch-and-shoot opportunities or look to shoot from deep off the dribble. Justin is great at stripping defenders as he records multiple steals a game leading to transition points for his team. Having crafty moves around the rim allows Justin to get easy baskets. His best game came against Passaic Charter as he recorded 32 points and 9 steals in a win. The only concern you would like to see out of Justin is for him to find more ways to draw fouls so he can generate more free throws. Justin will be heading into his third year with lots of breakout potential.
