Julius Johnson Julius Johnson 5'11" | PG/CG Bridgeport | 2028 State TX is a gifted point guard and an all-around playmaker. He runs an offense with poise, finds teammates in rhythm, and can score, rebound or defend whenever the possession needs it. He’s an elite point guard who will see a rise in his recruiting stock.

✅ Elite feel for setting up teammates
✅ All-around game that fills every column
✅ Poise to run an offense at the next level

Silky-smooth pull-up midrange game, with the pace, burst, and fluidity to consistently create his own shot off the dribble, getting to his spots with minimal dribbles, stop on a dime footwork, particularly around the elbows and free-throw line extended. Johnson proved to be a tremendous playmaker who consistently made everyone around him better, displaying high level court vision, anticipation, and natural sense for passing, seeing passing windows ahead of time whether threading pocket passes through tight coverages, delivering timely kick-outs to perimeter shooters, or finding cutters slipping behind the defense, he consistently recognized opportunities before they fully developed.

Julius is an impressive, high-IQ guard that can undergo transformations at will on both ends based on what his team needs in those exact moments. He can be a volume scorer and create and get to the rim with ease if needed, but he’s not a selfish player in the least, regularly displaying that with his passing ability off the dribble to wide open teammates with fantastic looks at the basket. He has the meanest crossover I saw at The Expo, leaving defenders in shambles on multiple occasions. He never shies from contact and finishes effectively through it. He has fantastic poise and patience when navigating through traffic and I love how he fiercely battles through screens on the defensive end.

Julius is a swift, determined combo guard that consistently puts in the work, and it shows on both ends of the floor. His ballhandling ability is elite, often dizzying his defenders and leaving them off-balance while he sinks jumpers over them. He has a nice shooting touch best displayed by his floaters in the lane. His fadeaway is nearly unblockable and he never shies away from physicality. One of my absolute favorite things about Johnson’s game is his stellar work on defense. His lateral footwork is incredibly impressive and he always stays in front of his man, even when facing elite scorers. He has great vision that he utilizes with his showstopping passes and his shooting range extends well beyond the arc.

Julius Johnson Julius Johnson 5'11" | PG/CG Bridgeport | 2028 State TX is another 2028 point guard who continues to flourish behind the scenes and deserves considerably more attention. He’s a true three-level scoring threat with the outside shooting ability to punish defenders who go under screens or give him space, but he’s equally comfortable controlling the game as his team’s lead guard. What separates Johnson is his combination of basketball IQ and coachability—he understands how to manage possessions, get teammates organized, and recognize when it’s time to become aggressive as a scorer. He doesn’t have to chase offense to influence the game, yet he has the scoring punch to take over stretches when his team needs it. Long term, Johnson projects as a steady, intelligent lead guard whose shooting and feel should translate well as the level of competition rises.

✅ Three-level scoring ability
