Keller had one of the better performances I have seen from him Saturday morning. He was on all cylinders and showed off his full scoring ability. He is a short and stocky guard, and this was shown on his drives. He does not get bumped off his line when he drives and is really good at extending and finishing at the rim. His three-point shot was coming off in a rhythm. Keller was efficient with his looks. I also loved his defensive energy. He was applying great pressure at the full-court zone press.

Prep Hoops Scout

Keller is a strong built rugged guard who showed he could get to the bucket. He added 10 points with two 3 point attempts with most of his points coming in the first half. He can be a viable setup man who sees the floor. Keller has a chip on his shoulder anytime he steps onto the floor.

Margaretta started 0-4 this season but have hit their stride with three wins in their last four and the lone loss coming to 7-0 Hopewell Loudon by single-digits. They’ve climbed out of an early season playoff points hole and now sit in 14th with the chance to move up with late season wins. Keller has been crucial in the turnaround with 18 solo tackles and over 180 yards rushing in the past two wins. If the Polar Bears keep this momentum up, they could be a sleeper to make a playoff run like Keller helped fuel a regional final appearance on the hardwood back in March.

A multi-sport stud for Margaretta, I caught Keller both during the high school playoffs and with the Ohio Buckets just last weekend. A strong guard, it’s no surprise that Keller is a standout on the gridiron with his toughness and ability to play through contact. Able to set the table offensively as a lead guard, Keller isn’t afraid to muck it up defensively as well.
