Margaretta has state title potential in Division V this season with a talented team that’s gone through some intense battles the past few seasons to prepare them for a postseason run. Bailey is an important wing piece on this team, as one of the longer athletes on the roster. Bailey can rebound, defend multiple positions and does well as an off-ball scorer as a cutter and set shot maker from the mid-range area. Scoring 17 points in a win over Shelby this week, Bailey has shown up against top teams so far this season.

I was impressed by the Polar Bears effort as they stayed close throughout the game, falling short in the final minute. Bailey is a solid athlete who moves well in the open court and knocked down multiple mid-range jumpers. Bailey also secured seven rebounds and was one of two Margaretta players to play all 32 minutes. In the closing seconds Bailey made a layup off a backdoor cut that would’ve given Margaretta the lead. However his shot was waived off due to a charge call, one of a few questionable calls in the final minute of the game. Despite the loss, Margaretta is still one of the top Division V teams in Ohio and have the talent to make a deep run this year.

Bailey is the type of player fans will love by the end of the event. He’s tough, physical, and thrives in doing all the little things at a high level. With his high motor and willingness to embrace his role, he’s a glue guy who holds a team together. Bailey’s impact goes far beyond the stat sheet, and his style of play will make him stand out.
