About Juaquin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a versatile small forward and shooting guard, with a rare blend of scoring ability, court vision, and defensive intensity. I am a true three-level scorer on offense. I consistently look to get teammates involved through distributing the the ball. I am a lock down defender with a relentless aggression to rebound.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am very focused player who does not get rattled. Though I may look calm on the outside, I am very driven to succeed and won't back down from any competitor. I am focused on leading my teammates through my style of play and hard work while motivating verbally. I believe when I step on the court, I can play with anyone.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and church organizations.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed a servant leadership mentality. I believe in consistently working to not only making myself great but also my teammates through support and challenge. I am a leader in the classroom consistently being recognized for student awards through leadership. I have learned that leadership is most important when times are not easy and those around you will watch and respond how you do.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have lived in multiple states early on in my youth due to my fathers work. Though there have been many blessings with this, it required me to be confident in who I am and quickly adapt to new surroundings while remaining focused on my goals. It has taught me discernment, empowerment, and courage.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has high academic standards and a wealth of degree opportunities. In addition, looking for a college that has resources to be successful on the court, plays a high competition and is in position to continually compete. Ideal setting would be a larger college that is financially stable year over year.
