Josiah Polynice looked really sharp Sunday morning against Washington Supreme. He was patient and did not force anything. Polynice allowed the game to come to him, and when his opportunity came to score, he made the most out of it. He made several threes and made some nice plays with the ball in his hands. He’s a smart minded PG who can shoot it well from deep. I really like his game.

The graduation losses at Olathe South are immense. The Falcons have a ton of holes to fill. Maybe the door will open this year for Polynice. Prep Hoops scouts have had this guy on their radar for a couple of years now. He is an impressive ball handler who can create. He’s well-built and can handle contact and play in traffic. He spends a lot of time off the ball on club teams, but he’s a traditional point guard who penetrates and gets the ball to scorers.

After a stable of some really good point guards at South, Polynice should finally have the opportunity to take the keys to the back court. Polynice has a great ability to make plays off the dribble for himself and teammates and his quick downhill burst puts a ton of pressure on defenses. The ’24 point guard is dynamic and should have an increased role this year.
