The 6’7 wing player got rolling mid season last year after coming back from injury, but coming off a red hot summer that saw him really expand his game and stock, Burton will be looking to head into this season at Campus healthy and ready to put a stamp on a good year. Really long arms, big time leaping ability, great moving without the ball, an improving jump shot, and shot blocking ability are just some of the tools in his toolbox that allow him to dominate games in a variety of ways.
Highlights
The big athletic forward prospect will be looking to be a staple in the painted area, rim running, and holding down the defensive end of the floor for a rising Bennington program which should have big time aspirations. Lawson’s soft touch, aggressive nature attacking with the ball, and double double potential each night should see him poised for a big year with a lot of team W’s to back it up.
After a stable of some really good point guards at South, Polynice should finally have the opportunity to take the keys to the back court. Polynice has a great ability to make plays off the dribble for himself and teammates and his quick downhill burst puts a ton of pressure on defenses. The ’24 point guard is dynamic and should have an increased role this year.
With the talented Riddlesperger leading the charge for Hugoton this upcoming year, the role for a strong second piece will be up for grabs and Gaskill has the intangibles and competitive nature to give them that with an increased offensive skill set. Finishes strong in transition, stays in attack mode off the catch, continues to improve that jumper, and creates extra possessions on offensive rebounding with put back potential. Great straight line driver and puts pressure on defenses in the paint.
Lyons will be looking to spark a back court with great potential in Topeka. Really quick guard that plays with pace and a good looking shot from behind the three point line. Nice side to side shiftiness off the dribble to create angles and can get on the hips of defenders and go make plays. Should have lots of roles within the team as a creator, scorer, and tone setter on defense.
