Joshua Stone Joshua Stone 6'5" | SF/CG St. Rose | 2029 State NJ is a prospect whose athleticism immediately popped, and remained evident throughout multiple highlight plays on both ends of the floor during both of St. Rose’s contests Saturday— highlighted by multiple above the rim put back dunks when the defense failed to box him out coupled with pinning shot attempts against the glass in transition. A lot of that effort and energy translated to impact in the half court defensively as well, where his ability to contain drives and defend multiple positions was also apparent.

Stone is already physically ahead of many players his age and has some tools that should translate immediately. He’s a powerful wing who plays aggressively, rebounds his position and gets off the floor exceptionally quickly around the basket. He isn’t afraid to try to finish over defenders and has the strength to absorb contact. The next stage will be continuing to expand his perimeter skill set and finding ways to consistently bring his physicality to the defensive end.

Stone is an extremely athletic forward in the class of 2029 who had a weekend full of highlight dunks. He plays very aggressively and is always looking to attack the rim, especially in transition, where he thrives due to his impressive athleticism and his ability to finish through contact and over defenders. On the defensive end, he’s just as aggressive and is a very good on-ball defender. Stone also makes highlight plays defensively, getting a lot of loud chase-down blocks. Stone was definitely one of the most athletic players from this weekend and has a lot of upside as he continues to grow his game.
