Mayner is an intriguing wing who immediately catches your attention with his size, length, and scoring instincts. He scored efficiently from all three levels while showing excellent patience and shot selection throughout the game. Around the basket, he uses a variety of crafty finishes to score over and around shot blockers. His high basketball IQ also shows up as a passer, and he consistently makes winning plays late in games. He can stretch the floor when left open, making him a versatile offensive weapon. Maynard is one who’s size and skill translates to the next level and could be a gem that falls in the hands of a college program once its time.

3/20/26: Maynard’s free throws are a work of art. He puts them in the middle of the circle each time. Maynard is a guy that splashed onto the scene during AAU last summer with the Tennessee Tigers . Great size for the position. Handles better than average already. Starts for State Champion Upperman Bees. Maynard can sometimes be forgotten when watching Upperman because Ty Cobb Ty Cobb 6'2" | PG Upperman | 2027 State #148 Nation TN is so ball dominant. Maynard can play though. Rebounded quite well defensively.

9/28/25: Rebounded aggressively on both ends. Defensively, he is ready to guard 3/4’s, but needs to get a smidgeon quicker laterally to defend top guards in his district. Projects as a forward. Plays above the rim.
