About Joseph

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a top 10-ranked small forward known for creating offensive plays through court vision and basketball IQ and ability to finish to the basket strong. I play aggressive and physical defense with a focus on communicating and rebounding the basketball. I am a high-motor competitor that can impact both ends of the floor.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a relentless competitor with a winning mindset. I embrace hard work, pressure, and tough matchups. I would like to lead by example all while staying coachable and locked in on every possession. I am always looking for ways to improve myself to be a better teammate and do whatever is needed to help the team win.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved with the Baseball team. I also enjoy playing golf. I have received honor roll awards for my grades as well as recognition for my volunteer work at the local chamber of commerce and rec basketball leagues.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through community service, i have developed leadership, communication, and teamwork sills that can translate directly to the basketball court. My work in community service has taught me discipline, responsibility, and how to others first - which are qualities that I bring to teams that I am a part of.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Challange: Play on new AAU team competing in UAA. Being the new kid and earning minutes was a big challenge that I needed to overcome. It pushed me to elevate my game, stay locked in, and embrace every opportunity that I was given. I needed to stay focused on doing the little things - communication, energy, and being coachable. This earned trust and proved that I belong on the floor.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with strong academics, a competitive basketball program, and a culture that values hard work, discipline, and overall team success. I want to go somewhere that I can grow as a player, student, and leader.

3/20/26: Maynard’s free throws are a work of art. He puts them in the middle of the circle each time. Maynard is a guy that splashed onto the scene during AAU last summer with the Tennessee Tigers . Great size for the position. Handles better than average already. Starts for State Champion Upperman Bees. Maynard can sometimes be forgotten when watching Upperman because Ty Cobb Ty Cobb Ty Cobb 6'2" | PG Upperman | 2027 State #130 Nation TN is so ball dominant. Maynard can play though. Rebounded quite well defensively.
