3/20/26: Rugged rebounder. Colton was and is so important to what Upperman is trying to do. He is built like a logger and fears no contact. In the low block scrums Johnson frequently came out with the ball. Colton collected six rebounds against Fulton. Frankly, Upperman needed one or two more Coltons.

2/4/26: Tremendous strength. Colton looks to have gained significant weight (muscle) in the last 11 months. Upperman really will lean on Colton in the playoff run. They certainly aspire to win the Class AAA State Championship again.

Facing Greeneville Colton Johnson Colton Johnson 6'4" | PF Upperman | 2027 State TN recorded four rebounds. The victory over Greeneville sent Upperman to the title game.

3/20/25: Solid State Tournament performance. Colton cleaned up the defensive boards against a team that desperately needed extra bits of the apple. He was a non-factor on the offensive end, but Upperman did not need him for that. His value came from those secure rebounds.
