Jordan is a high IQ player who is good at getting his teammates involved in the offense. When it comes time to score, Jordan doesn’t shy away from putting the ball in the basket. Doesn’t hesitate to shoot and has a pure catch and shoot jumper. Good at sealing defenders when driving and going up for floaters. He plays with a lot of energy on offense and is constantly moving without the ball to get the best shot he can get. Has a tight handle and is good at securing the ball to get a shot off when driving in the lane.

has continually proven to be one of the most complete guards in the Class of 2025 for greater Houston. He uses speed to blow by his matchups to the rim and get to his spots on the perimeter. His playmaking is highly underrated as he can either speed you up into a faster setting or slow down the pace of the game and use it to his team’s advantage. He also has a quick release on his jumper and is not to be taken lightly as a perimeter defender.

Buckner was locked in mentally the entire game. Guard with quick first step that finds the open man after drawing defenders. Keeps the ball in the middle of the floor, and in half-court setting gets in the middle of the paint. His shot wasn’t falling, but Buckner hit a step-back three late in overtime that help South Houston get the game within reach. Applied ball pressure which gave some King ball handlers trouble advancing past half-court. The 2025 guard is poised to have a big summer.

Buckner lives for these games. The point guard steps up with the pressure is greater. Fast shifty guard that creates easy opportunities for his teammates. Given his matchup, he’ll have to force more turnovers than his opponents force. Plays physical defense, and known to pick-pocket defenders.

Not enough can be said about Jordan’s leadership for this South Houston team. This kid does everything right on both ends of the court and is a constant source of positive energy. He fits the “true point guard” role for this team so well and can change the course of momentum in a contest in the blink of an eye. Buckner is lethal shooting off the dribble and always knows where his teammates are on the court, setting up for several open buckets on the offensive end. Jordan led the charge for SH in an impressive win over Houston Christian that many fans would easily consider the primetime game of this tournament. He helped slow down Montana Wheeler Montana Wheeler 5'9" | PG Houston PSAT | 2025 State #126 Nation TX enough this game and was a constant source of energy. I see great things coming for Buckner in the near future and this kid should definitely be considered as more than a scorer, he does all the right things whenever he is on the court.
