Another selfless player from Team 11 that provided a tough solid motor. Metschies competed consistently on both ends of the floor while playing bigger than his size with plus strength at the 2 or 3 man’ role. He particularly impacted around the glass collecting multiple offensive rebounds and putbacks. Metschies demonstrated some craftiness around the rim as well on a baseline reverse layup and a tough transition bucket through contact. His activity level carried over defensively using anticipation to help create turnovers providing value on both sides.

Caught a game of his in 3v3 action. Played hard to get on the glass consistently crashing for boards. Made a strong take through the lane showing strength with the ball and court awareness. Spotted up for 3 as well. Defensively was active in the passing lane and on the ball. Came away with a couple instinctual steals. Overall liked his mobility and activity to compete.

Shows effort on the glass and consistently follow up misses with urgency to rebound. Uses his strength to absorb contact and thrives on hustle plays that can swing momentum. Defensively, keeps his head on a swivel to create turnovers and disrupt possessions. With continued growth, he has the tools to become a true X-factor in the future.

Metschies committed to the boards all camp long. Team 1 benefitted from his willingness to advance the ball in transition. He ended and extended plays after shots went up. His use of pivots and the glass around the rim was impressive.
