Fun year for Fort Morgan this year, and a player who elevated his game in his senior year is JJ Marquez JJ Marquez 6'2" | SF/PF Fort Morgan | 2026 State CO . Marquez went from a glue guy who stepped up in key moments as a junior to being the focal point of the offense as a senior. Marquez averaged 19.9 points a game and had 5.2 rebounds to go along with it. He lit it up as an inside presence who got downhill, finished on the block with his back to the basket, and moved as a slasher on the baseline. He was also the team’s defender, and he put up 2.5 steals a game. Marquez proved to be a riser and will be making a jump in the rankings this final go-round. 

JJ Marquez JJ Marquez 6'2" | SF/PF Fort Morgan | 2026 State CO is an athlete, and that athleticism has him as the star player on the basketball court as well. He plays with extreme effort, has a motor, and refuses to be denied. The 6’2 paint beast is putting up 18 points a game and has had some incredible stretches like his 31-point showing against Brush or season-high 36 points against Frontier Academy. He gets inside and dominates the paint, scores over double teams, and has excellent footwork. He grabs boards and goes right up with i,t and also turns defense to offense. He’s a prospect that we did not know too much about, but his play has him jumping on the rankings as a new name that we hope to see more of.
