Martin climbs from 21st to 12th in this update and has a high prospect ceiling thanks to his athleticism and motor. Jerrick plays super hard and impacts the game in a lot of ways. Assuming he’s not going to grow much more, Martin needs to transition to the wing full time but he has the athletic gifts to be an impact player at any position.

Martin is a physical freak who passes the eye test in a major way. He needs to show he can shoot the ball but he checks every box athletically and has an interesting prospect ceiling as he looks like he could be a mid major or better D1 wing. Unfortunately he faced a 2-3 zone the whole game I watched. I’d like to see more.

Another intriguing Kentucky 2026 prospect, Martin is an impressive athlete who made plays on both ends for Glasgow. Finding his most offensive success as a slasher, Martin was aggressive in getting to the basket with the dribble drive game. An impressive athlete, Martin was flying around defensively and making impact plays on that end of the court. Impressive upside with Martin, my biggest question would be seeing how well he shoots it from the outside as he didn’t really look to take many jumpers in the one game I caught. Another name for Kentucky basketball fans to keep on their radar over the next few years.

As mentioned in the “New Names” article this week, Martin is a physical specimen who is capable of bullying defenders and rebounds at a high rate. Keep an eye out for him as a difference maker in the 5th region next season.

Recently described as “built like a grown man” by another scout, Martin had a strong Freshman season for the Scotties and could ascend to being a top ten player in the 5th region next season. At 6’5 and still growing, Jerrick has a lot of long term potential as he is likely not done growing yet and has the potential to move out to the wing full time or become a three level scorer.
