Sophomore Jeremiah Williams Jeremiah Williams 6'0" | CG Ramsay | 2026 State AL was a standout for Shades Valley despite the narrow loss to Mountain Brook. The skilled point guard scored 15 points while facilitating for teammates.

Williams came out hot with 9 first quarter points. He created space for mid-range jumpers off the dribble with nifty handles. Defensively, he was a pest by disrupting passing lanes with quick hands.

In the second half, Williams displayed excellent court vision by repeatedly finding open teammates off drives for easy scoring chances. He also showcased his high basketball IQ by penetrating for crafty finishes around the rim.

Although Mountain Brook completed the comeback, Williams kept the Hornets within striking distance as the leading scorer while creating for others. He had an all-around excellent game.

Overall, Williams showed promising development as both a scorer and facilitator. The talented sophomore displayed smooth handles, court vision, defensive activity and a strong all-around skill set. With advanced skills beyond his years, Williams is establishing himself as a foundational piece for Shades Valley moving forward. His 15 point performance kept the Hornets competitive against a tough opponent.
