begins my second Film Review List. He is a quick and twitchy Guard who also has the athleticism to get on the rim in the open floor. He is pretty effective at scoring in the paint or behind the perimeter, although the latter is something I have seen with a greater sample size in person. Brooks has a nasty crossover and is a creative finisher around the rim too. Even though he is a true score-first guard, Jeremiah makes good reads and is dominant in the pick-and-roll, keeping defenders uncomfortable with his ability to find a roller or pull-up for a shot.

Brooks is one of two Greenwood Eagles who stood out to me this weekend in North Augusta. He is a Point Guard with a balanced game, capable of running an offense with passing, shooting, and finishing. Although he had some shooting struggles in the first half of a matchup with James Island, Jeremiah bounced back well converting on his first 4 attempts from behind the arc in the second half. He went for 16 Points and 5 Assists in the game, displaying his handle, vision, deep range, and pull-up abilities. Brooks also has blow-by speed with the ball in his hands, but could improve his strength in finishing around the rim to help take his scoring game to a new level.

Brooks had his game on point here today for Upward Stars Columbia . Jeremiah keeps his solid play going this spring from the backcourt. The pass first guard from Greenwood HS really looks to make his teammates with his court awareness. Jeremiah leaked out in times today and scored some cheapies in transition.

Brooks has the ability to score the ball from 3 levels on the floor. Jeremiah really excels in the transition game and looks to explode in the open court against defenders. He has no problems fighting off defenders with his hands and body. Jeremiah has a nice mid-range pull-up game.
He’s currently averaging 15.3 ppg this season for the Eagles (16-5).

Brooks has had several solid outings this spring and summer on the Grassroots and High School scene. Jeremiah made a good jump with his play in the latest set of rankings.
Brooks has the ability to explode in the open court to race by defenders. He has a nice mid-range game to showcase. Jeremiah will fight off defenders on the way to the basket. He really seems to have no problems getting the ball to cup.
