About Jay

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay as a tough player both offensively and defensively also a very committed team player who is willing to keep learning and giving the best out there.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I want to help my team win while also using the losses as a learning experience for the next game. I am humble and am seen as a mentor inside and outside the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am the President of the Latin/Hispanic Spanish Union in Mercersburg Academy, Head Blue Key for the 24-25 school year, And Prefect in Tippetts Hall

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed many different qualities with my different leadership positions at Mercersburg Academy. As a prefect it has helped me become a mentor to kids from all around the world inside the same dorm and it teaches me how to resolve problems and come up with solutions to make the dorm a safer place. I also did community service in the fall term my sophomore year which helped a lot as well!

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced the challenge of resolving a problem between two kids in a dorm who both almost got in a fist fight because of a stolen item that none wanted to own up to. I resolved it by sitting them both down and making the situation serious so that one of them had to own up to their mistake.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a midsized or even big college where I can play collegiate basketball which is my dream. Also one where I can continue following leadership skills and even improving on them.
