Whitaker did a really good job at the Storm Classic showing the Wayne State was really smart with that offer late last week. He led his Storm UA Rise 17u team to the Platinum Championship and was named the Storm Classic Most Outstanding Player in the bracket. In his typical fashion, he was a lights out shooter and scorer. Whitaker also made big defensive play after big defensive play over the course of the weekend.

Whitaker might have walked home with the opening night MOP. He absolutely torched the nets in a 75-61 win against Kenowa Hills. Whitaker scored a game high 35 points, with 27 of those coming via the 3 point shot. Let’s not forget that he also added 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
