One thing that struck us while watching Ivey at Elite Camp was the fact he’s a winner. The rising junior played on the main court during the entirety of 5×5 play and served well as a guy who mainly helped out moving the ball and defending, but also knocking down the open jumper when given the opportunity. His all-around ball skills and feel for the game are at a high level as he continues to develop physically.
Ivey had his offensive game going during GRIT’s win over Purpose Driven with a game-high 20 points. The rising junior was knocking down jumpers from deep while also balancing things out by making a number of strong drives to the hoop, absorbing and finishing through contact. The Aloha guard has a rangy build with good length, which allows him to extend around defenders and also be a factor on the defensive end.
