He’s averaging 6.6 assists, 5.4 rebounds, and also has over 4 steals a game, and that’s led to some easy scoring opportunities for him and teammates, but now they’ll face off against a team that can match that, so it will be on him to be decisive with the ball, trust in teammates but take over. I believe he’ll have a big game and do whatever in his power to keep the season alive. Javon Gonzales Javon Gonzales 5'11" | PG Fort Lupton | 2026 State CO is a force to be reckoned with on both ends of the floor. Gonzales will give you an immense amount of offensive production, firing on all cylinders. Javon brings the intensity game in and game out, which will suit him and his guys well in the postseason.

Gonzales brings skill with the ball, among the most energizing lead guards in this class. Adept at controlling the pace versus tight ball pressure, he is among a handful of true point guards in the state. Part of what has allowed the undersized guard to maintain success has been his facilitating abilities, adept at threading the needle through tight windows. This all follows averages of 16.5 points and 6.5 assists per game, set to control the flow for this group for the coming seasons. He is no slouch on the defensive end, adept at reading the floor to intercept passing lanes or pick the pocket of his opponent. 

Gonzales has the ball on a string, one of the more exciting finesse perimeter playmakers in this class. A bold playmaker with the ball, the guard is adept at hitting cutters and rollers through tight windows, much more daring than the vast majority of lead guards in this class. Gonzales also provides finesse shotmaking inside the arc, adept at rising up for floaters or pull-up jumpers, especially efficient inside the free throw line. Defensively, although undersized, the guard has great instincts at the point of attack to cause deflections or poke the ball away from opposing playmakers.

Gonzales remains one of the most skilled lead guards in this class, given his high IQ and ability to facilitate through tight pressure. Capable of sending bounce passes through tight windows, effectively rewarding off-ball movement. Among all 4A athletes, Gonzales was 2nd overall in assists per game, alongside being in the top-10 for the whole state.
