played in attack mode from start to finish, constantly putting pressure on defenders. His shiftiness and change of pace kept the defense off balance and uncomfortable all game long. Whenever he gained a step, Jashon made it count, consistently getting to the line and capitalizing.
His ability to finish through contact makes him a highlight waiting to happen. On one drive, he split two defenders and finished through contact with soft touch around the rim. As the game became more physical, it played right into Jashon’s strength of drawing fouls. He looks poised for a big weekend.

continues to validate his standing as one of the top young guards in New Mexico. In the opening game, he faced significant defensive pressure and physical play but responded with poise and maturity. Rather than forcing action, he adjusted as the game progressed and elevated his impact.
His ability to handle pressure benefits his entire team. Jashon consistently looks to make the right read, turning good shots into great ones by delivering the ball on time and in the right spots. When defenders begin to sag or overplay passing lanes, he shifts gears attacking the paint and scoring in bunches.
The first game of the weekend tested both his physical and mental toughness, and he met the challenge. The more pressure applied, the more composed and effective he became a strong indicator of his long-term potential as a lead guard.

Morinia finished with 6 points, but his influence was felt throughout the game. He knocked down a three early in the first quarter to help set the tone offensively, then became a steady presence against Eduprize’s press defense. Morinia consistently attacked the middle of the floor, kept his composure, and made the right basketball reads to keep the offense flowing. Whether it was advancing the ball, finding open teammates, or pushing in transition, his decision making stood out. On the defensive end, he stayed active, applied pressure, and helped generate opportunities for ABC Prep Red to play fast.

Jashon showed everybody exactly why he’s the top player in his class. The young guard put together a monster 28-point performance in a tough win over Eduprize. What stood out most wasn’t just the scoring — it was how he controlled the game like a real point guard. Morinia constantly touched the paint, forced the defense to collapse, and created open looks for his teammates. When it was time to score, he delivered with clutch shot-making and strong finishes at the rim. Defensively, he brought nonstop energy and was one of the most relentless on-ball defenders at the entire event. Even as a middle school prospect playing up, he dictated the pace and the moment.

showed why he is the Point Guard to watch in the class of 2029. He didn’t just control the offense for his team but dictated how the games went. His defensive ability turned takeaways into easy transition offense. He sped up the pace of the game when the team needed but was also able to slow it down and display his IQ. His passing was on full display all weekend getting his teammates involved. Watching Jashon run the fastbreak made it seem as though the game runs in slow motion for him, and he was able to do whatever he wanted. His energy on the court was electric and made those around him run harder to get easy transition baskets.

Jashon is a fierce competitor on the floor! He seems to take every matchup personally on both sides of the court. Morinia has no problem getting downhill and attacking whoever steps in front of him. He is able to stop on a dime, rise up and use his pull up jump shot at a high level. He has a quick first step along with his excellent ball handling skills which makes it difficult for defenses to guard Jashon one on one.
