He understands how and when to go under or over screens, he tightens up to fight over without fouling, and is quick enough in his recovering time to go under without giving up the shot. He was also a great helpside defender who quickly closed gaps, hedged the penetrator, and even got a hand on the ball as his opponent attempted to go up. Jared competed with outstanding grit and grind. There was a noticeable shift in the in-game action on both ends anytime he was or wasn’t on the floor, controlling the pace of play, moving off the ball within the offense, and also defending effectively within the team rotations.
