Johnson earned All-Region honors last season after averaging more than 11 points per game for the Trojans and continued to impress with Peach County during the June live period. The junior point guard combines good strength with above average quickness and is a capable perimeter shot maker both off the catch and off the dribble. Johnson also brings toughness and activity to the defensive end, where he competes as an on-ball defender.

Jamar led Peach County with 16 points and 6 rebounds against Commerce. Last year’s standout guard came off the bench making way for a slew of Trojan transfers. Regardless, Johnson was the most effective offensively. He swished a pair of threes, scored twice in transition and got downhill in the halfcourt. Johnson is a strongly built guard with straight-line physicality off the dribble.

One of the more improved players in the state, upping his production from 2.6 points, 1.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.9 steals per game to 11.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.8 steals. Spaces the floor with his three-point range. Good athlete gets nice lift on his jump shot. Likes to pull-up in transition.

The emergence of Jamar has made Peach County dangerous. After averaging 2.6 points a night as a freshman, Johnson has now collected 20.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2.3 steals per game in Year 2. The three-point shot is a huge weapon for Johnson, sinking 15-30 through his first four contests.
