Bernikow successfully made the transformation from a bouncy off-ball guard to two-way nightmare for the Ducks. When they needed a defensive stop, he would force a turnover or even come out of nowhere to block a shot. Furthermore, Bernikow was undoubtedly the best guard in the state due to how he carried his team on offense. If the defense was blitzing him, he ran off of screens for movement threes. If that wasn’t open, he attacked off the catch. The Millersville commit always gave Odessa a chance to win.
