Central Cabarrus High still took home the NCHSAA 3A State crown over Northwood High within the state borders as Thompson put up 18.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 4.3 apg and 3.3 spg while shooting 70 percent from the field. He’s a lead guard that puts constant pressure on opponents with his ability to attack off the bounce and defend the basketball with his quickness and on-ball pressure. He remains an available name in the 2023 final rankings and a top point guard name for programs in need of a game-changing point guard. He’s got a bright future ahead of him on the hardwood.
