About Jacob

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with a mix of power and finesse - overwhelming defenders with strength in the post, then surprising them with quick footwork and soft touch around the rim. My game is built on constant movement; I'm always working to establish deep position, crash the boards, or find openings in the defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m the first one in and the last one out, treating every training session like it’s game seven. Footwork drills? I’ll do them until my legs burn. Post moves? I’ve practiced them so much they’re second nature. Shooting? I won’t leave until I’ve made my last 100 with perfect form. I don’t just work hard—I work smart, studying film to sharpen my reads and dissecting my weaknesses.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I lead by example—through work ethic, accountability, and lifting others up. On the court, I’ve learned to command respect not just with my play but by staying poised under pressure, communicating clearly in clutch moments, and holding myself (and teammates) to high standards. I’ve also embraced vocal leadership, whether calling out defensive assignments or rallying the group.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

There were stretches where misses piled up, or mistakes snowballed. Learned to reset mentally: short memory, extra reps, and focusing on impact beyond scoring (defensive stops, assists, energy plays). Now, I embrace pressure—it’s where I thrive.
