Skaggs was all over the place for Bellevue, finishing the tournament in the top-10 in PPG, APG, SPG, and BPG. Where he went, Bellevue followed, and his ability to be that playmaking/scoring catalyst was evident with his aggression early on in the tournament. He was looking to get to the rim and then started playing out of different spots, but his aggression never faded.

Skaggs started the day looking to get to the rim, and it ended up working for most of the game. His creativity and quick burst with the ball were a difficult cover for the Mountainview defenders, and he mixed in enough pull-ups and open threes to keep the defense extended enough to open up driving lanes.

The senior guard is an explosive playmaking threat who has shown the ability to convert some tough shots from different levels. Displays great footwork, whether it’s step-backs, weaving through traffic, and can shoot off a variety of gathers. Also does a great job finding creative passing lanes and has been a big factor for a tough Bellevue team this winter.

Skaggs is another guard who has been steadily rising up the ranks. He showed big flashes of skill as a younger player and has since become one of Bellevue’s go-to guys in his senior year. He’s a major threat from 3-point range but also has the ability to hit off various moves and footwork in the midrange. And his creativity off the bounce allows him to be a key playmaker for the Wolverines as well.

Skaggs is a slippery player who gets real creative with his change of direction, footwork through traffic, and ability to hit shots from almost any angle. He was their main creator on Tuesday and had to create a ton of offense himself, but he’s shown he can hit those tough shots. He sunk an and-one 3-pointer with just under 30 seconds left in the game to cut their deficit to two, highlighting his shot-making ability.

He’s been an excellent threat from deep with EBC who they like to run off of a lot of screens for him to get catch and shoot looks. He reads closeouts well and will take a dribble in or sidestep defenders to get open looks. He’s also been making some big hustle plays to chase down loose balls and long rebounds.

Skaggs is one of the most improved players in this class in my eyes. His offensive game has become much more well rounded and can score with ease from all 3 levels. He gets down-hill smoothly and has an even more impressive mid-range jumper which he can find his spots to easily. I could see him averaging 15-20ppg next season, which should lead to more looks.
