Expert Analysis
Garry Siehndel | Prep Hoops Scout
LuGrand has been on a tear this summer for Southern Ties . The 6’3″ guard most recently stood out in PRO16 competition. Jace is an extremely versatile player that can play both off the bounce and as a perimeter shooter. Jace can also make an impact on the glass. Both intensity and effort drive his a ability to “out-rebound” his frame at times. Look for the freshman to continue to showcase his balanced offensive attack over the next month.

LuGrand first stood out as nearly unstoppable in 3 on 3 play. He has a tight handle, which combined with his quickness and wiry strength, made him a force as a slasher. But it wasn’t just attacking the rim, he flung passes all over the court with good accuracy and velocity. And also hitting jumpers off the dribble. Due to also being a football player, he might have a slower start to his freshman basketball season. But could be an important piece to help the Wolves later in the year.
