A newcomer to Santa Fe, Hawley is a strongly built guard but importantly was looking more mobile and nimble. Last year he played seemingly more like a post, but athleticly and height wise he fits the profile of a power guard. Gets downhill from the wing, and plays off of two feet. Either scoring himself or making the right pass to cutting teammates. There’s big time potential in Hawley’s game and he looks closer to unlocking it.

Hawley is more of a wing than some of the other players listed, but his frame and athleticism means he’ll be playing very big in Oklahoma. Those natural gifts, along with a strong motor will allow him to be a big time rebounder sooner rather than later. Edmond Memorial’s staff has experience with using forwards/wings of similar build in mismatches around the rim. So along with doing damage off the bounce, expect Hawley to potentially eat as a post up option.

Size and athleticism are what first stood out for Hawley. As he’s strong with a football player like frame, but has outstanding mobility Which gives him true potential to be a big, bully style guard. Had flashes of playing with good pace, patientce and control. Even some moments of passing, including coming off ball screens and seeing the floor well. Very exciting upside prospect, who will be getting a fantastic basketball eduction at Edmond Memorial.
