Rebounding, scoring from midrange and using his strength and athleticism are all things that we saw from him in their matchup with Northampton County. He didn’t force plays often but instead found his offense within the flow of the team concept. You love to see a player that is a team first guy and that is exactly what you will get from Powell.

From start to finish of their matchup with MHS, he was active in the paint, finishing with a game high of 20 Points while pulling down a high number of rebounds. What we appreciated most about his performance was the fact that he didn’t settle for the outside shot too often. Instead, he attacked the basket and used his strength to score and draw fouls.

Another player that we feel should see a rise in his recruitment over the next few months, Powell put together a nice showing offensively, scoring the ball from multiple levels. His ability to slash and get downhill have already been known, but his improved shooting ability has helped him to become an even more dangerous player.
