Expert Analysis
Duvalier Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
Gordon is truly one of the top small school players in the state as the 6’2 guard was also a top-5 scorer in the entire state, and that is why he was an All-State player. Gordon finished with a career average of 21.6 points a game and upped that in his senior year, where he put up 28 points a game. He’s a player who found the mismatch, scored through double teams, and made the right plays. He passed and got it right back, he found open men for plays of their own, and he also turned defense to easy fastbreak scoring opportunities for him as he put up 4.3 steals a game. Gordon was a Top 75 scorer in the entire country on average, and that deserves some attention.

Gordon is having yet another incredible year, and we’ve taken notice. He’s a bucket and proves that each time he takes the floor. He’s put up double figures in all but one game since the beginning of his sophomore season. He’s proven to be a microwave scorer and also fills the box sheet in other areas as well. There are not many, if any, prospects in the state with a stat line of 25.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 5.5 steals. He affects the game in each category. He’s a Top-10 scorer in the 2026 class and has proven to be consistent. He enters the rankings for the first time.

Gordon has been a do it all force for Olathe, stuffing the stat sheet night after night. Averaging 25.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists and an eye popping 6.3 steals per game, he impacts winning on both ends. He can score from range, get to his spots with confidence and drives hard to the rim with purpose. Defensively he’s relentless and active, creating havoc in passing lanes. Gordon’s motor, versatility and two way production make him one of the most dangerous guards in his area this season

Gordon’s shotmaking was a large part of Olathe’s offensive engine, seeking shot attempts and playmaking opportunities from the guard. The guard has a knack for drawing contact in the paint, often seeking out driving lanes given his tight handle.
