About Isaiah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

OFFENSE I am a combination guard who creates plays for my teammates and myself. I am a slasher who drives to score while maintaining vision at all times. I also can play pick & roll and shoot from distance. DEFENSE I am a good on ball defender and solid off ball defender. I also rebound well for my position. After a defensive rebound I loook to outlet/pass ahead.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a friendly person and get along well with most people, including my teammates. On the court I am tough minded. When I make mistakes I move on the the next play. I try to play the right way. My dad has taught me to constantly evaluate my performance. The results of the evaluation process enables me to make improvements to my game with my skills training.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

In middle school I received an award for a documentary discussing my basketball journey and my battle with ADHD.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

One way I lead is thru encouragement. I also mix well with my teammates of the court. This helps with building chemistry and trust on the court. My parents encourage me to look for opportunities to help people in need. I am working to do better in this area. My dad says I need to be intentional about many things.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was in middle school. I sometimes can loose focus in school. I am learning ways to stay focused and refocus myself.

What type of college are you looking for?

Basketball wise I would like to play at Duke. My mom went to Hampton and she wanted me to go there. I am learning more about the college experience and I like visiting different schools.
