Stamper had a nice season in the GMC, being a crucial piece to a Middletown squad that finished tied for third in their league and were district runner ups. Stamper was the second leading scorer on the Middies and shot almost 50% from the floor. His size allowed him to lead the team in rebounding and his strong frame allowed him to battle in the paint against opposing bigs. I like the upside of Stamper as he has a body that will be physically ready for the college game right away. Flashing some perimeter skill as well, Stamper shot 34% from 3-point range and 65% from the charity stripe. I’ll be curious to see if Stamper focuses on basketball or baseball at the college level, he’s a key piece for Middletown’s baseball team as well.

Another multi-sport athlete on this last, Stamper has been a standout on both the hardwood and the diamond. Providing much needed size for the Middies, Stamper has the versatility to stretch out the defense and bang on the interior with his strong frame and physical style of play. 8 points, 5 rebounds and over a block per game, Stamper has been one of the more productive bigs in the GMC this season. I’ll be curious which sport Stamper decides to play at the college level, regardless he’s a name to know as the playoffs tip off across SW Ohio this week.
