Prep Hoops Lead Scout

Nyakundi, one of New England’s top unsigned big men, ended his recruitment process when he announced that he’ll be attending Le Moyne College next year. A physical forward, Nyakundi does a good job of fighting to establish deep post position. When he catches in the scoring area, he’s hard to move and is particularly effective as a scorer due to his ability to catch everything thrown his way and his great footwork. He’s a threat as a roller, can finish above the rim, and has even shown signs of floor spacing ability. Defensively, he cleans up on the glass and does a good job of protecting the rim. He’ll be an interesting prospect to track as he makes his way to Le Moyne as he has a physical profile and skillset that should allow him to compete for minutes early on in his college career.
