About Isaac

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to play in the paint and physical basketball. I am a team player who also likes to set screens to help my teammates get open. I am willing to work hard and get in position to secure rebounds to help my team defensively and offensively. I have been spending a lot of time in the gym working on my footwork and increasing the range of my shots.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I like to lead by example. I think it takes a lot of work to improve and I encourage my team to come to the gym when they can and work with me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

National Honor Society Youth Group

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a team captain; this has helped me to gain leadership skills. I try to lead by example. I won't ask anything of my teammates that I am not willing to do myself. I believe that my positivity on the court can help my team and set an expectation for younger players. I like to volunteer and help with youth basketball. This is a good way for me to encourage and support our youth program.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to find a college where the basketball team is like a second family. You spend so much time together and push each other so hard you have to be able to trust and relate with each other. I would like a college that is small enough that you can feel like you matter there.

Isaac had one of the most dominant first half performances I’ve seen all spring/summer on Saturday. It seemed like every time he caught the ball on the block, points were going on the board for Comets. He was too strong to be defended 1v1, and was able to bully his way to the rim for finish after finish. Does a great job of maintaining his balance through contact to finish at a high percentage. When double teams came he did a great job of recognizing where an open shooter was, and quickly zipping a cross-court pass right into their hands. Slid his feet to block a handful of shots as well.
