7/17/25: Gritty. Huston plays a big role on BMaze 16u. He runs the show. Torres is very sharply toned but still needs even more bulk over the next two years to prepare him for college basketball. That said he will play beyond high school. Natural winner. Crafty handle. Average quickness for a starting HS guard.

6/10/25: Huston was the only sophomore to play in the State Championship Game for Knox Webb and he played quite a bit. Wearing #15 Torres stayed on the floor for 13:22 minutes, scored 9 points and collected a single steal. Torrey was efficient too as he made 2-4 from the three-point line. Webb used a 7-man rotation against Briarcrest Christian and won 54-45. In the semifinal Torrey also played more than 10 minutes (11:37), but he was not as impactful offensively. Torres score two points and took just a single shot from the field. In each game he drew two fouls.

-Didn’t score as much as he normally does in this game but Torres works well within the flow of this team as a play-maker with a tight handle and consistent jumper. Playing on a team that runs 4-guard lineups pretty regularly, he is ready to step in to take and make open jumpers when the ball swings his way but also keeps his head up to find the weakside big in the short corner. Always come away impressed with his court presence and patience on the offensive end of the floor, would like to see him add more muscle to his frame to take advantage of his vision and compete at a higher level defensively.
