Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I excel at controlling the tempo of the game, facilitating offense, and creating scoring opportunities for both myself and my teammates. My court vision, basketball IQ, and quick decision-making allow me to run an efficient offense while maintaining composure under pressure. Defensively, I am a lockdown presence, using agility, quick hands, and high energy to disrupt opponents and create turnovers
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
Mentally and physically tough, I thrive in high-pressure moments and refuse to back down from any challenge. Pushing myself and those around me to reach our highest potential, I strive to stay composed in adversity, embrace tough coaching, and take responsibility for my team’s success.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Yes, I am in HOSA, the Art Club, Beta Club, and the National Honors Society.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
As captain of our Varsity team this past season, I have been able to grow in leadership. Whether it’s pushing myself in the gym, mentoring younger teammates, or stepping up in clutch moments, I strive to be a team-first player who is always looking to improve.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
During my freshman year, I moved from Greenville, NC, to Seymour, TN, leaving behind my friends, school, and longtime AAU team just before basketball season. Determined to continue pursuing my passion for the game, I tried out for the Seymour Eagles and earned a varsity spot as a freshman. Through hard work and dedication, I became a starter by mid-season.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college that will allow me to maximize my skills as a point guard while also providing a high-quality education to support my future career as a doctor. I hope to contribute to a program that values hard work, teamwork, and dedication. Finding the right balance between athletics and academics is important to me, and I am committed to excelling in both.
