Walker made enough of an impression in the spring that I still remember the way he took over stretches, even though we haven’t seen him since. He came out attacking, handled pressure well and showed he could make plays with the ball in his hands, and I like a guard who can get downhill and force the defenses hand. He also competed when we saw him and we want to see him buy into wanting to have that edge. He found teammates, and knocked down shots and we saw some high IQ reads.. At Niwot, he’ll have plenty to learn as the pace and physicality increase, but the skill base is there. I’m curious to see how much stronger and more efficient he becomes this year. If he can tighten his decisions and keep the same confidence, there’s a lot to work with and he was an easy add to the watch list from what we saw.

Walker is a player I am curious about, as he was a tone-setter the last time we saw him. He took over the scoring load at times, he played both on and off ball, and they put the ball in his hands and let him operate. I liked him as a playmaker who made reads and didn’t back away from moments, and now he gets to show that in a showcase setting. I’d like to see if we see that same aggressiveness again because his game has a chance to keep climbing with another strong showing.

Walker looks like the type of player every team benefits from having on the floor because of the way he impacts the game in so many different areas. He helps settle and energize his team by making smart decisions with the ball while creating offense both for himself and those around him. His ability to attack the lane and finish through traffic gives his team another reliable option offensively, while his versatility allows him to fit naturally into different roles throughout the game. Defensively he competes with purpose, staying active on the ball and making opposing guards work for everything. Walker’s leadership, toughness and complete approach continue to make him a prospect worth monitoring moving forward

His overall performance highlighted his competitiveness and playmaking ability.

Walker served as a catalyst for his team, providing a steady and impactful presence across multiple facets of the game.
