In pick-and-roll situations, Eric quickly becomes a matchup problem. When smaller defenders switch onto him, he immediately recognizes the mismatch and goes to work in the post, making it difficult for defenses to comfortably switch actions involving him. His versatility creates opportunities for his guards to get downhill and attack the basket.

Defensively, Eric competes at a high level. He moves his feet well, takes pride in drawing charges, and consistently impacts the game as a help-side defender. Whether it’s rotating for a block, jumping a passing lane for a steal, or sacrificing his body for a charge, Eric finds ways to make winning plays all over the court.
