is a strong, athletic guard who can defend multiple positions at a high level. His basketball IQ makes him an excellent help-side defender, and he has the speed and quickness to jump passing lanes when playing off the ball. On the ball, Christopher makes it extremely difficult for opponents to run their offense through his assignment. His ability to stay connected to ball handlers is one of his biggest defensive strengths.
Offensively, Christopher is very effective in the midrange game. He uses the in-between area to keep defenders off balance and force them to respect every level of the floor. His high basketball IQ also translates offensively, as he consistently finds soft spots in the defense to create scoring opportunities. He plays with patience and never forces shots just for the sake of shooting. Instead, he looks for the best available option, even if that means setting up a teammate for an easy basket. Look for Christopher to take on the challenge of guarding the opposition’s top scorers all weekend.

is a strong, versatile defender who can guard multiple positions on the court. He’s the type of player who rises to the challenge when opponents try to score on him. Look for Christopher to compete from tip-off to the final whistle, making it as difficult as possible for his matchups to get clean looks. He’s active in passing lanes and can turn defense into easy points in transition for his team. And if the opposition thinks they can take a break on him offensively, they’ll be mistaken due to Christopher having the ability to get to the bucket and knock down shots from beyond the arc. He’s a true 3-and-D option for his team.

Christopher Willliams is an aggressive defender who is quick enough to stay in front of his match ups. This week he picked up a quick foul but was able to adjust to the game. He used his quickness well to disrupt passing lanes. Chris looked like he worked hard in the off season on his defensive ability. Offensively Chris was good at creating space to get shots off. Chris excelled from midrange and closer during his last game. He kept the defense honest with his three-point shooting ability which opened space for players around him. If he continues to work hard on the defensive end Cibola will have a lot of chances in transition this year.

Williams brings value as a facilitator within the half court, proactive initiating the derives or breaking a press when necessary. With a nose for the ball, the guard possesses a high motor on the glass, quick to pounce on offensive rebounding opportunities. His quick decision making translates through his passing, active in making the extra pass to create an open look for a teammate. Effective dribbling through pressure with either hand, Williams will be a dependable playmaker over the coming years at Cibola, particularly for a group rebuilding.
