The highest-ranked new addition to the Prep Hoops South Carolina Class of 2028 Rankings is Ellis Wiggins Ellis Wiggins Ellis Wiggins 6'5" | SF Timberland | 2028 State SC . Wiggins was an All-Region performer at Timberland last season, but he’s starting to emerge as an impressive prospect with Charleston Raptors . The reason he’s so highly-ranked is his potential as a shooter, which he displayed in a 6 made-three game back in early May.

Another new, exciting wing who I was introduced to this weekend is Wiggins. Ellis was an All-Region selection at Timberland High School in 2025-26, but he was much more of a perimeter threat in a Raptor jersey this weekend in Myrtle Beach. He had 22 points on 6 3PM in a matchup with Fayetteville Elite on Saturday afternoon, including some crucial ones in the second half from deep range and through contests. Wiggins also displayed comfort making plays off closeouts like a baseline floater and a one-dribble pull-up, so if he continues to shoot the ball well and add strength to his length, he could quickly become a Top 10 Wing in South Carolina’s 2028 Class.
