Elijah Melton Elijah Melton 6'5" | C/PF FL ‘s ability to protect the rim was on full display throughout the tournament with numerous highlight reel rejections at the rim. In his first game of day 1, the forward posted a total of 7 blocks, establishing the paint as a “no-fly zone”. Yet, while the counting stats were in his favor, his ability to alter shots was more importantly, his best trait. Forcing opposing players to take lower-quality shots every time they came inside. It came as no surprise to see his Future Elite 16U team finish 4-0, due to his contributions, and I look forward to seeing how his game develops as the summer progresses.
