Expert Analysis
Kevin Daniels | Prep Hoops Scout
He’s a smooth player who moves effortlessly on the court. He penetrates with ease and consistently gets into the paint. He crashed the offensive glass for a follow-up layup and threw down an impressive put-back dunk in traffic. After another offensive rebound, he made the extra pass that led to a layup. Defensively, he was effective on the ball, coming up with a steal. As a help defender, he anticipated the opponent’s pass, intercepted it, and passed the ball to his teammate for a transition dunk.

Back in the CHSAA after flashing as a freshman at Monsignor Scanlan before transferring to now-closed Lawrence Woodmere (NY) last year, Jenkins looks ready to make a consistent splash at the varsity level. Despite a narrow loss to Linden (NJ) on Saturday, he showed his athleticism and versatility while continuing to transition from an undersized wing to a true utility guard. Jenkins never needed a play called for him but was routinely making his presence felt on either end using his length, burgeoning strength, explosive leaping ability, and instincts for the ball. He’s always shown an underrated feel as a passer but looks to be making continued strides as a ballhandler and shooter in order to round out his game. He may not lead the Ravens in scoring every night, but could be the X-factor and has an argument for possessing the highest long-term ceiling on the roster.
