About Elijah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’d describe my gameplay style as physical, strategic, and versatile. I use my strength to finish through contact, my footwork to create space, and my ability to read defenses to make the right plays. I can score at all three levels whether it’s attacking the rim, pulling up for a jumper, or knocking down shots from deep. I stay aggressive, and play with confidence.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I see myself as a strong, skilled, and smart player who knows how to use my size, strength, and footwork to my advantage. I’m not afraid of contact, I embrace it. I can finish through defenders, adjust my game based on what the defense gives me, and keep my opponents guessing with counter moves.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Outside of basketball, I’m part of my school’s video production team, where I help host announcements and create content. I’m also a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), which helps me grow in my faith and leadership. Both have strengthened my confidence, teamwork, and ability to make an impact beyond sports.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership skills by leading by example on and off the court. I push myself in practice, stay focused in games, and encourage my teammates to give their best effort. Teamwork is a huge part of my game. I know that success isn’t just about individual talent but about making the right plays, communicating, and trusting my teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve definitely faced challenges, but they’ve only made me stronger. Whether it’s tough competition, injuries, or moments when my shot isn’t falling, I’ve learned to push through and adapt. One of the biggest challenges has been facing defenders who try to take away my strengths, but I’ve worked hard to expand my game, improve my counter moves, and stay confident no matter what.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that will challenge me both on and off the court. I want a strong basketball program where I can develop my skills, compete at a high level, and contribute to a winning culture. Academically, I want a school that offers solid support and resources to help me succeed. The right fit for me is a place that values hard work, pushes me to grow, and feels like home.
