One of the top scorers from NW Ohio, Barnesky had a huge game to lead Sylvania Northview to an upset over conference champion Findlay. A big-time competitor, Barnesky uses his frame to create contact with defenders and can make contested shots. A high IQ player coming from a winning high school program, I’d expect Barnesky to be ready for the expectations that college coaches will have during practice and off-season work. Top 10 in school history in scoring and 3-point makes, Barnesky was one of the top shooters in Sylvania Northview history.

A heroic performance by Barnesky to will his team to victory on Tuesday. He was making all sorts of shots from the court including fallaway jumpers, spot-up 3-pointers and floaters. Showing the ability to finish at the rim with both hands, make good decisions as a passer and hit contested jumpers, it was a complete offensive performance. I was impressed with how well Northview handled the pressure of Findlay despite not having many ball handlers. They made plays in the clutch and kept their cool even when the Trojans made runs in the fourth quarter. Big time upset victory for Northview as they advance to the district finals.

Sylvania Northview pulled away in the third quarter from Columbus Beechcroft and got a comfortable win on Tuesday. Barnesky is a big time shooter who knocked down shots off the catch at a high clip. Moving well without the ball also put him in positions to hit mid-range jumpers against the zone defense. Northview moved the ball well and hit enough open shots to advance to 5-3 on the season.
